Opendorse, the NIL and college athletics rev-share leader and a TIME 100 Most Influential Company, is seeking a dynamic sports business professional to partner with the innovative athletic department at Colorado State University (CSU).
The Director is a critical role responsible for generating, evaluating, executing, and operating the Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) and Revenue Sharing (Rev-Share) strategy for CSU. The Director will serve student-athletes, administrators, staff, coaches, and other stakeholders to ensure achievement of their goals.
Reporting to the Opendorse Director of NIL & Business Insights, the Director will reside in the Fort Collins, Colorado area and execute most daily job functions on campus at the direction of Colorado State University Athletics leadership, in conjunction with the Director of NIL Strategy & Business Insights.
CORE FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
NIL and Rev-Share Strategy
- Create, implement, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive NIL and Rev-Share strategy for Colorado State Athletics, working alongside sport-specific leadership
- Serve as the primary contact for all stakeholders in the Colorado State University NIL and Rev-Share ecosystem
- Ensure all program elements align with athletic department vision, values, and objectives
- Support the operations of third parties like NIL collectives and rightsholders
NIL Engagement and Education
- Provide clear communication and effective education for all NIL and Rev-Share stakeholders
- Lead student-athlete NIL engagement through daily connections and strategic programming
- Create, plan, and implement in-market NIL events and activations, bolstering generation of new revenue streams
- Support compliance with NIL and Rev-Share policy, as well as NCAA guidance, State law, federal standards, and international NIL regulations
NIL Activation and Development
- Support Colorado State sales and licensing opportunities, including CSU’s Development Department, Rams Sales Team, Rams Sports Properties - LEARFIELD, supporting collective(s) and other properties
- Bolster collective development and activation efforts
- Activate CSU supporters around NIL, including the Opendorse Marketplace, live events, and virtual connections
- Lead professional service provider relations
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the past, present, and future of the NIL and Rev-Share space
- Experience working in NIL, college athletics administration, athlete relations, and/or marketing
- Being a high-energy leader with hustle, motivation, and drive that’s contagious
- Being a dynamic, polished strategic thinker who is eager to connect across multiple functions and geographies
- Deep knowledge of Colorado State University and the Fort Collins community
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, as directed by Opendorse and/or Colorado State leadership
SALARY & BENEFITS
- Base Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience
- Bonus and/or commission potential
